Wyatt and The Polar-moose

*DISCLAIMER*

I'm not actually proud of this super short paper, but I needed something to post on my blog.
This paper was written in great haste, and is quite...strange.
I don't usually write like this. This was 100% random. =)

~Wyatt and the carnivorous Polar-moose~

"Wyatt saw the moose through the brush. He walked closer to see what it was doing. The moose was eating a small fox. He thinks to himself how strange this is. Seeing how your everyday moose does not eat meat. This continues to baffle him. So he goes and asks the moose why he is eating the fox. He lifts his chin from the small carcass and moves his lips, but nothing comes out. This confuses Wyatt even more. Wyatt stomps his feet and points to the sky as a giant rock falls to the ground at your feet. "You see that you stupid moose! That's a meteor, and there are going to be alot more falling if you don't start talking!" (You see, Wyatt, is a super human. He can control any element in the world.)
The moose is rather startled and jumps back away from the carcass. "Alright" says the moose, "What do you want me to say again?" Wyatt gives a look of disdain. "You stupid moose, tell me why you are eating a fox!" The moose takes a step closer to Wyatt and says, "You stupid boy, I'm not a moose, I'm a polar bear!" And with that he launches into the air and takes off flying. This leaves Wyatt even more confused."

Lyman Lake Memory

I was looking at old pictures. Well, not old pictures, but older. Any way, I came across the pictures from the Lyman Lake trip. None of these pics are mine. It's a combination of Stephen's, Shawn's, and Shawn Roach's. (A friend of ours).

I went through and picked out, what I thought were awesome pictures. The first one is after we got back from the hike. We were all beat. The 6th picture from the top, is hilarious, I think. Chase looks like he is blind with his sunglasses on. Shawn is smoking a cigar. I can't remember if it was a real one, or if it was a stick that he lit on fire. Not sure. =)
And Phil (my cousin) looks like the crazy guy he is. I really like that picture.

The mosquitoes were so bad. They came by the thousands. During the day, when we were at camp, I would go and sit in our tent. Just sitting there...enjoying not having to swat at mozzies. I hated that trip, but also loved it. I know Stephen made a post about this along time ago...but I felt like posting, and this came to mind.

Will you please "cut" that out? ;)

I've always loved cutting out shapes and making things. Such as characters from cartoons, movies, books, and so forth. I haven't done much of that lately, but I did today and yesterday. =)
I'm planning on making more, but these two had to come first. ;)

I was inspired to take some pictures, and that is what I've done. I didn't have a good opportunity to go shooting somewhere, but I made do with stuff around the house. I also edited some of the pictures on my pc. They aren't much, but I had fun doing it. =) Lot's a mirror stuff.

Here goes again. A little recap of non important (And important) things I've done in the last week.

1. Went to Denny's at 9pm. Which is really early for a Denny's run. =) Warren and I downed that baby sized Sundae in under 3 minutes flat! =) Yeah? (Non Important)

2. We painted a room in our house today. My parent's room. Fun fun. (Semi-important)

3. Low painted my face by request today. I was going to go with the checkered look but too much bother for Low. =) =O =P (Semi- Unique)

4. I've been playing lots and lots of piano. I learned, Superman-F.f.f.. And i'm working on 100 years also by F.f.f.. (Important- to me!)

5. I went paintballing Sunday in the rain. That was lots of fun. =) Only one welt that stuck with me. Or should I say on me. =) (Outstanding)

6. Soccer. Been playing soccer. Always good. =) (Important)

7. Hung out with my friends! A? =) =O =P (Outstanding!!)

And all these picture, are pretty much self explanatory. Yeah? And let me explain something. The picture of me in the painting....bonnet? I never wear one when I paint...I just felt like it today. ;)

Thank God for giving me things to do! =) And almost always keeping me busy.

Back to School...oh shucky darn.

Well, it's that time of the year when I start to scream and kick. Not wanting to let go of my summer break and fall back into the endless circle of school. But sadly I know all of my protests are hopeless. I start school tomorrow. Say goodbye to freedom. This reminds me of a song, "Freeeedooommm!! Freeeedommmm! Freedddoooomm! Ohhh ohhh freedom! Everything i had everything i own all my mistakes man you already know..."

Well, I have no regrets on how I spent my summer. It truly was outstanding.
The weather was great, the adventures were awesome, and my friends were outstanding. =)
Just because summers over doesn't mean the fun has to stop. I'm going to make a list of some of the things i'm looking forward too in the fall and winter. =) =O =P

1. Paintballing, In the snow! =)
2. Interesting Dark nights, when you hangout with friends and play games!
3. Parties, late nights and crazy friends!

So for the last six days the Internet at my house has been down, and I've been suffering major relapses. No blog, no Facebook, no Email, no Eurosport!!!! It has been a long six days, but with the proper help i'm sure I will recover fully.

Okay, with that out of the way I'm going to let you know what i've been up to the last six days. =) If any one really cares! lol I was in Seattle Monday with my fam, the Napiers and Shawn. We goofed off all day then went to a Mariner's game. That day was outstanding. Hutt's blog writes alot more about it. =) My favorite parts of the day were, the Mariner's game, the ferry ride, going to Denny's at 11:30pm and the two hour car ride home. =) Oh yes!
I started soccer for the Crushers Tuesday. It's going to be very challenging but in a good way. This is a very strong team...they have a lot of great Hispanic players, so i'm kinda intimidated by them. The Shockerz was never that challenging, but this team is going to be. Luckily, this year i've got a secret weapon. My Nike Vapors...that are going to be signed! =)

The bottles wrapped in black bags are wine bottles. My family and Shawn did a wine testing night. Noooo i didn't participate.

What else have I been doing? Hm, I went to a family reunion in Seattle Sunday. I never seem to know anyone at these things. They all seem so foreign to me. I don't know. I guess because they all live so far away we don't get to hang out much. But anyway, it was fun for the first three hours.

It's sad to think summer is coming to an end. This summer has been pretty Outstanding. Going to Friends, The Impossible River, 13 corners, paintball wars, horse-back riding, learning how to txt, and hanging out with my friends! Oh it's been fun.
And that's about it... =)

Something About Alot

I haven't blogged in a little while. So I thought I would! Last time i blogged I was fourteen, but I had a birthday day so now i'm fifteen; which is logical. =) Not much has happened. I am going to learn how to ride a horse soon! =) I'm rather excited for that. Horses are pretty high in my books. That is the "Wyatt's book of ranking". After seeing Shawn ride a horse, i'm pretty sure I can pull it off. I would love to get to the point were I can ride full gallop, holding the reins in my mouth, doing posties and shooting my paintball gun! Talk about a life goal.

For my birthday dinner I had Pot Stickers. They're called something else, but I have no idea how to spell it. They're are outstanding! There is a picture of them before they are deep fried. =) Anything deep fried...has got to be good for you! Oh and the photo of the spider! Make sure you click on it! You have got to see it up close. =)

About a week ago, we walked up to the tower. It has such and amazing view, and the walk is very nice too.

So there you have it. A small synopsis of what Wyatt (Spud) has been doing the last week or so.
And right now, i'm eating peach crisp with ice cream, and my gum is perched on the edge of my bowl. ;)

Grays Harbor Fair!

Oh yes. The Gray's harbor fair. Nothing is quite like it. The smell of funnel cakes, elephant ears, people, wiffs of things you wish you hadn't smelled. Ah the fair. I really like fairs. They are so much fun. But they aren't much fun when your alone, so you got to go with friends. =) That's like the icing on a cake. It just isn't the same with out it.

Well, yesterday we went to the fair. We (consisting of Shawn, Hutton, Warren, Piper, and I) got to the fair at about 5ish. On the way there we covered the music basics. Akon, Flo Rida, John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, Queen, Chris Brown, etc. The first thing we did (and i'm not quite sure why) was to head to the art barns. Or whatever they call them. Lots of pictures, lego creations, beets on paper plates, wood carvings, and all of that good stuff that makes a fair...a fair. =P

The rest of the Napier's came after we went through the horse barns. I had been told about a horse named Spud, which i wasn't about to leave the barns without finding him. I found him. He's the horse in the picture.

We watched some of a youth talent show. It was very entertaining. The clip is of a little girl at the end of her song... Oh GOLLY! Her laugh is amazing!

We went on a few rides...but i'm holding out for the Puyallup. Shawn, Piper and I went on the Drop Zone. (?) I hate that ride with a passion. But Shawn made me go. I screamed like a little girl. Yes, i did. But i think my favorite ride was the Star Trooper. (?) Lots of fun. =)

At about 9 we hit the bleachers (There was this girl sitting on the bleachers,well, i need not say more :P)(Just letting everyone know) and watched impersonators. Elton John, Tina Turner, And Elvis. It was pretty funny. My favorite was Elton John. =) Lot's of fun. I had a great time.

We Are The Crazy People Next Door!

After a long day of the river, Call Of Duty, and friends...it came down to this. Back at our house we gathered in the basement and played "Que me". It's a really fun game, when you play with the right people. And tonight we played with almost all the right people. Claire and Larelle have been sailing at Lake Q for the last three days, so they were a little tired. Which made them a little more fun too pick on. =) And here are a bunch of random pics of the night! Swiss rolls, yeah, those are swiss roll wrappers...uh-hu uh-hu -uh-hu. I can't believe i don't gain weight from those!
Sorry about the picture quality. It was bad lighting. Any way it was a pretty funny game.

Backholm Reunion 09

Today was the Backholm Reunion. We all gathered at uncle Ed's cabin on Lake Quinault and made a time of it!

People were jumping off the docks in ways, i had no idea, they could jump. My uncle Dean who is 51(I think) did a back flip. Which blew my mind. They took turns charging down the dock and diving over a pump gun. Some of them got pretty darn high. =) There was an army of ice chests. As you can see. I really don't know what else to say. We didn't have any live music...which we always have live music. So that was kinda sad. But it was still cool. The water was about 74 degrees. That helped when swimming. The air could have been warmer...but hey, i'm not going to be too picky. =) There you have it; a very short version on the Backholm reunion.

Captain! Is that a bald spot?

Yesterday was such a nice day. Went to the river with friends and family...had a great time. But it started out with a little pain. Shawn and i had just gotten to the river. No one else from our group was there yet. I had stashed my gum behind my ear for later ( as normal)...and forgot about it. I was messing with my hair and all of a sudden my hair stuck together. The gum had become entangled in my hair. After about 20 minutes of pulling and straining I got most of it out. I now have a bald spot on the side of my head. Lucky for me, you can't see it unless you move some hair that comes from higher up. =( Needless to say, i won't be keeping my gum back there until i get a hair cut. =)

Sun Burn ~O~

Yes, this is a very strange post. Not many people post about sunburns. But since this is the first time i've been really burnt, i thought i would. =) It didn't hurt at all. But now it looks really funny. Like I have a rare skin disease. I think my sun burn got a sun tan. =) That area better tan again. Or i'll look like i had a lot powdered sugar sprinkled on my back.
I can't pick at it, so that right there bothers me. When some thing is on me...i have to get it off.

The Lake Wenatchee Excursion

(: I'm writting this as i think, so i'm kinda jumping around :)

Camping at Lake Wenatchee was a blast. The first day the mozzies were so bad i was about to scratch my sun tan off. But the days to follow were much nicer. On the second day in the afternoon wind picked up on the lake. It was a consist 30 mph all day and night. But did that stop us hearty Harborites from swimming? NEVER!

We stayed from Monday afternoon till Friday morning. The group consisted of Backholms, Micheners, and Napiers. I must say, that group was so much fun. Just the right mix of sarcasm and true humor. =) Every night all of the kids (from 11 - 30) went down to the lake and sat on logs while we watched the stars. I think that was my favorite part of the day. The Micheners brought home-made ice cream, which we mixed on the beach. It was out of the ballpark. On Thursday morning it was really cold and windy (meaning 50ish). But after we gave up in volleyball in that wind, i wanted to go swimming. It was about 10am. That was almost the coldest swim I've ever had. Brr! No one else would come in, but finally Shawn came in. Then i had to almost drag Piper into the water. It took about 10min of convincing her. But she did it! =) Then Hutt came into the water and said it wasn't cold at all. Which is 100% a lie! The picture of the peanut can. A chipmunk actually chewed through that. I think some of those chipmunks were on steroids. :P

Almost every day we took out the rafts and floated out to this little island. We usually never set foot on the island, the fun part was the ride. Pushing people off rafts is just a kick. Except when you grab (SOMEONE) and they fling you in instead...multiple times. ;P Shawn dropped by Wednesday for the night and was planning to go home Thursday late afternoon, but he was so nice and made it possible for Hutt, Racer, and Piper to stay one more night. =) The Napiers were leaving Thursday, and they did, they just left three kids thanks to Shawn and my Dad. On Friday morning, Shawn woke us up and we were on the road by 0545 hrs. He had to be at work by 0011 hrs or so. Most of the way home was filled with music, and also paintball conversation; which is always fun.

"Whats with the picture of Racer and Wyatt covered in mud?" you are probably asking. We just decided to cover our selves in mud. Simple, no?

Jase got punched in the nose by his brother Brian on accident. Hence the bloody hand and face

And I'm not really sure what the Otis Man is doing over the fire.

All together it was an awesome trip. And is going to need a sequel. =) HA!

Paintballing, and loving it!

Today Shawn and I were so lucky. We got to go out to the Napier's and Paintball. We started around 4:30 and it was about 86 degrees out. Now, when us beginners paintball we wear a lot of armor. But when it's that hot....it's really bad. Piper and I actually won once against Shawn and Hutt. But then Piper went all crazy on me for something i did, and she went onto Shawn's team. But Hutt saved the day, and got them both out. Go HUTT! About half way through...my gun broke. So i had to use the awesome 98 custom the Napier's let me use. It didn't have a hopper so i had to single load. :P That was just ducky. Then i got fed up with the heat, and went to tee shirt. lol It was a riot. Got some nice marks. Hutton was so padded i don't think he got any paint on him! Piper took a hard one to the neck, and Shawn, didn't have sleeves so his arms were a little beat up! :P The clip is after the day of grueling warfare.... ;)

Moonwalk Attempt, and Fail.

Okay, i know. I never usually post twice on the same day. But something (even i thought it was funny) happened today. Low and I were doing the dishes and i had turned on Michael Jackson's Billy Jean to rock out too. Well, i also set up my camera to see if i could get Low doing some out-landish moves. I clipped the video because it was long with not much happening. In the end, the only person who pulled an out-landish move...was me. I was attempting the moonwalk when i ran into a box of apricots. Yeah, I bet Michael never had to deal with these kinds of set backs. =(

Coca Cola Classic

Does anyone every get those late night kicks where you just want to create? I do. And last night was one of those times. At about 8:45 i thought it would be fun to draw a poster. I had no idea what to draw, but i got a couple movies and went up to my room to start thinking. After a couple of minutes i thought about Coca Cola! And i decided to draw a Coke Poster. I googled a picture of a coke can (So i could see it really big) and started. I was up until 1:37am working on it. But i wasn't even tired. I really love these late night kicks. Well, the text is kinda sloppy, so don't pay any attention to that. But i like how the can turned out. =)

The House Of Pain

What started out as a three day paint job turned into three weeks. But today at about 7:25, Shawn and I did the impossible. WE FINISHED IT! The House Of Pain fell! Oh it felt so good. As we were cleaning up, Shawn thought he'd be funny and paint my face. Then I thought it would be funny, to do the same. It was harder for him to get it off, because of his "stubble". =) Any way, i'm just so glad to be done with it all. And Piper, I did have fun painting today. =P

Chocolate Cherries

I tried making chocolate cherries today. It wasn't hard as you all already guessed. You just dip them in chocolate, then freeze, then eat. :-) They are really tasty. I recommend freezing the cherries before you dip them.

The Saga of The 4th

*Side notes: There is a video of Low doing her European speed walk. Just to let you all know. =) And the picture of me in the white jacket...well, i was wearing my sister's jacket. IT'S NOT MINE! And yes, I look gay. ;)

This 4th of July was the first time in about 4 years or so we haven't gone to the Wright's party. Instead we went to Prosser to visit our friends the Micheners. They have an orchard there. They grow apples, cherries, blueberries, and some other stuff. We left Thursday at about 9pm. Only for my dad to forget something he had to do at work. So we turned around and headed back to Aberdeen. Thus making us decide not to leave till Friday morning.We left that next morning at 5:30ish. I'm not going to bore you with the gruesome details so i'll just give highlights.
We we arrived at the Michener's and it was about 95 degrees out. We spent the day just hanging out. They have this awesome zip line. Pretty sweet. The 4th really didn't feel like the 4th. I didn't light one firework. =( But oh well. We stopped at Chukar Cherries on Sunday. They are amazing. Top notch. Definitely recommend them. I picked cherries on their orchard...and it was really hot out. :( I NEARLY DIED! On the way home we ran out of gas. :P Luckily we were still in town so our Grandpa came to the rescue. While we waited for him to come, we ate Chukar Cherries! The short version of our trip. Short and some what sweet.

Yesterday we went to Friends Landing! It was also Dana's B-day. So we had a VERY Improve party! Food, soccer, (Tiny Bit of Football), friends. It was lots of fun. And the weather held out for us. =) And now Dana is 15. He's so bloody old! Much more mature than I. He could start driving soon... (LORD HELP US!!!)

Down & Up

Today started off rather bad, but thankfully it got better. =)

After church this morning Dana and I hit the courts. We didn't really get into it. So we decided to go to Mcdonald to get sundaes. I know; give up working out to eat. Not good. On the way we stopped and looked at the Challengers. Its my favorite car right now. So pretty. We mucked about at Big 5 for a while. We checked out rackets and i found a really cool hat. That i was too cheap to buy. Then at about 5:30 Shawn and I went to take another look at the Challengers. The orange one is my favorite. But they're are both beautiful. After that Shawn and I hit the courts. We made a bet that the loser buys the winner a milkshake. It was very close, but I managed to pull it off. Then I had a massive piece of Coconut cake and ice cream. AMAZING! And now...I get to go to bed. Yeah-a!

TheToleak Point Hike 09

We left from Shawn's place at 4 in the morning. It was gruesome waking up at 3:30, not going to lie.
Toleak point is up around Forks (The Vampire Town). At about 6:30 we stopped at this little diner. Well, lets say, the food was not quite worthy of 10 starving hikers. We actually hadn't started hiking, but we were planning for the future. The food was less than perfect.

We hit the trail at 7 that morning. After 6 miles or so of beach we made camp. Kirk ( A friend of Stephan's) found the perfect spot for our camp. Right next to the creek of fresh water, and real close to the woods...for...nature reasons. :) Shawn and I have a love for Coke which is hard to find. DR. PEPPER HAS NOTHING ON COKE! So for this particular trip, he bought cokes and I carried them in. They were vedy vedy good.

Stephan made the group an amazing dinner. Kirk caught two rock fish, which he let cook for about 2 hours. He kept trying to get people to eat it. Only Dana (An other friend of Stephan's) could really eat it. It stunk bad. The weather was perfect. I think it was almost 80 degrees.
Almost everybody got sun burned. Now this is really bad when you are hiking. Because you have a heavy pack on your sun burned shoulders. Not fun. The best aspect of the trip was that there were no bugs!! Last hike to Lyman Lake there were thousands of mozzys. We all had over 1 or 2 hundred bites. :(

Not much more to say, but this trip was a blast!

Well, i had a Jv game today at Steward field. It was a great game. I made two goals.
Then, i broke the other team's keeper's nose. It wasn't my fault!! I promise! I was in the box and was just about to let out a heat searing strike when the keeper dove for the ball, catching my knee instead. :P He was spitting out blood, and i was like, "Hm, woops." But all together we won 6-1. We are undefeated. We are having a good season. =)

My first time Skiing....ouch.

I finally did it! I went skiing at White Pass! It was amazing. I even went down a black diamond....not to brag....but i was pretty happy with that one. Not much more to say. But i highly recommend going skiing!

It started Wednesday evening at about 6pm. I had just walked back from soccer practice and was feeling unusually strange. =0 My skin had that prickish feel. You know what i'm talking about?
Well, any way, that night i crawled into bed and laid there and laid there. I was refusing to be sick. "NO! I can't be sick. Too much to do. I don't have time for this."

Well, its apparent that bugs and viruses don't care what you want.
Thursday i woke up feeling low as ever. I skipped school (The one nice thing about sickness) and slept most of the morning away. From 1 to 3 I was having a battle between my body and head.
My head wanted to get my cleats and get to soccer practice...but my body just wanted to resort to the fetal position on my bead. Well, in the end my body won (as it usually does). I stayed home, and missed the varsity game against Elma. :(

Friday rolled around and i awoke feeling better but nothing too groovy. I stayed home from skating feeling i would wear myself ragged. Hehe. And i was busy watching a movie. ;)
After my soccer game Friday afternoon in which Aberdeen stomped Olympia 8-0 i came home to a nice bowl of Chicken noodle soup. Which i must thank my caring mother and sisters for.
Then Dana came over to spend the night and Saturday. His parents had gone to some sort of class on furthering their knowledge of the Vaccinium corymbosum... A.K.A..... the Blueberry.
I also believe they studied other plants as well...but of that one i knew for sure.

As you all probably know, it is hard to be hang out with a friend when your coughing and blowing your...nose.
Well, that night we watched a movie call "Seven years in Tibet" staring Brat Pitt. It was a long movie. But it had a good story. It wasn't any Rambo, but it had it's charms.
Right before we went to bed...i slipped myself some NyQuil. That stuff is amazing. Works like a dream. I was out like that.

On Saturday Dana and I had to mount these bike things in the back for the bikes. They were some sort of pulley hoist. The first one took us an eternity. But we soon got it.
Then we pretty much spent the rest of the day blowing each other up in Halo. It was either barrel to barrel with scorpion tanks, or wing to wing with Banshees. We had fun. ;)

And yes, I'm am still sick. Darn! But I'm feeling better!

Raining/Hailing/Snowing/Blue sky...what else?

Well, today John and I played tennis in the snow/hail/rain/blue sky. It was rather cold and wet...as could be excepted. But we still had a blast! Near the end of our playing time...John pulled a million dollar move. I charged a shot right at his side. He swung...and hit him self in the head. :) And I got pics.

Lolo (A.K.A. Laurel ) is very cool. She keeps her cool no matter what she do.
She can play some crazy pi-anny pieces. Shes got a wicked sense of humor. She also laugh's at almost every joke i tell! Which is pretty impressive. She can do dishes with the speed it takes to wield a pair of Nike Vapors!! *really Fast* She will bluntly tell you if your clothes don't match. She will also alert you to the fact that you have no fashion sense; she's done this to me.
She usally wears an appron all day...everywhere.
Most the time i can get her to break down to some Sean Kingston, Michael Jackson and dare i say it... Mika!
All 'round she's a (pretty) cool cat.

Today after skating Tim and Dana popped over. Dana brought his "FAKE" les paul so we could play music. We played some, then we munched our lunch and washed the car...then we GOT to go play tennis!! We walked up to the high school courts and on our way we saw Kynsie and her mum!
I don't know if she realized who it was...she just gave a look and went by. :P But maybe thats because she saw who it was. :)
Any way, we got up there and played some "HARD CORE" tennis. Well, not really. But it was fun.
Then we went home and enjoyed a game of Catan. I won!! Of course it took the help of Dana and Tim to do it! Then is was back to the music room for the next hour and a half. Tim wrote a song.
And he needs us TOP NOTCH musicians to play it! So we did. It needs some help. Scratch that...we need some help. Then it was over. We got some great shots of playing tennis. =)

Super Bowl Sunday...and Shawn's Doughnuts.

For Super Bowl Sunday this year, i went to John and Aaren Fischer's house. I could go on and tell you all about it, but I'm just going to tell you about the doughnuts.
Shawn took a whack at making home made doughnuts. They were pretty darn good.
At first they were not quite sweet enough. Then we tried dipping them in chocolate. Very nice.
Then Aaren made up a maple butter type of glaze at the request of Shawn. And that was amazing! And of course we had to add powder sugar. I really like the first picture. B)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love Chocolate chip cookies! So i really like making them. My sister Melina recently found a great recipe for them. Its from the (New York Times). I made them today. :) But our stupid mixer is having issues. So it took a little while longer to make them. But they turned out really good! If i do say so my self...
Before you bake them you sprinkle them with coarse salt. Its amazing! Gives them a real nice kick.

This Sunday we went to see Pearl Django at the Raymond theater.
It was quite impressive. Their style of music is so happy sounding. B)
I think its called gypsies jazz. Pearl Django consists of two guitars, one violin, an upright bass, and a accordion. Very beautiful!

Banana's Bliss

I am writing about something really...random.
My banana! I love Bananas with peanut butter.
I don't really like bananas plain. They kinda slip down. No warning.
But with peanut butter....yum!

So here's the recipe.
(*Warning:It's extremely hard to construct a Banana's Bliss, so don't take it out on your self if you fail the first time.*)

Banana's Bliss

1 Green Banana
3-4 tbls. Jiff's Smooth Peanut Butter

Captain Crunch!

Our mother has never been a fan of sweet cereal. Such as Captain Crunch, Cinnamon toast Crunch,
Coca Puffs...Etc. So she almost never buys the stuff.
But once in a while Warren and I break down and go pick up a box.
We bought a box of Captain crunch for 4.75$ about a week ago.
That's pretty steep for some puffed up sugar! Tonight was the night to see who got the last little bit of Captain Crunch! So we settled it the democratic way. Rock, Paper. Scissors. The best two out of three. I won!! So i got to finish off the box. There wasn't much left. ;(

But because I have a big heart...I gave him the dust that's at the bottom.

Farm Days...

All of my siblings and I always wanted to have a farms when we were little kids.
We used to spend entire afternoons drawing picture of our farms to be. We'd draw pens where the cows were kept, Coupes were the chickens would nest...etc. Then we had the "Good Experience" to go work on a farm. Now I say "Good Experience" ...cuz that's what my mom called it.
It was about five or six years ago.
All of us little home-schooled kids were doing our school, when mom called out, "Ok, kids were going to a farm". Now because of our fixation with farms...we were excited yet...unsure.
My older sister Claire, was not home that day so we all thought, "AHHAH...She doesn't get to go to the farm!". It turned out later that she would be the one laughing. So it was Just my mom (?), Laurel (11), Me, (9), and warren (5).
We jumped into our old, huge, gray Chevy van and rumbled off.
This farm was located in Brady, making it a long enough drive for us to imagine what it would be like. Now remember...we had a Picture perfect farm in our minds. Red barn, pretty black and white cows, baby chicks, and horses.
We were in for a SHOCK.
As we drove through the front gate, I knew this wasn't gonna be fun. And as we approached the barn in the van, our dreams of farms were "Utterly Destroyed". Excuse the play on words. Speckled across the surrounding area were a few pooped stained, dirty cows. There was one huge bull that was very intimidating. We later found out that he was half crazy. Our large van slid to a stop in the foot of deep manure. We hesitatingly stepped out, but we came prepared. Our knee high boots fared well against the mounds of manure. Us kids looked around; still in shock. The barn looked like it had been through a hurricane. It's red paint chipped away. Bare boards stared out. Giving it a very...old impression.
We walked into the barn, in search of the lady that owned the farm.
As you enter this place, you nearly die from over exposure to toxic fumes.
To the left of the doors you entered through was a large fridge, which kept all of the fresh milk. Straight ahead was a long hall type room. It was the milking room.
Thirty some cows stood, bottoms out, munching hay in a trough. A small women appeared from behind one of the cows. Now when I say small, i mean height wise. Her arms where like small trees. Her legs like pillars. She could easily beat Hulk Hulgan in a cage match.
Her name was Willma. She lived on her farm with her mother, in a little yellow house.
She was a nice lady, but boy did she see us coming.
Our lovely mother, volunteered all of us to help clean up around the farm.
Willma quickly excepted , for she was the only one working on the farm, apart from this old guy, named Blue. He was always undergoing heart surgeries. Our job for that day, and for many days to come was to scrub the wall behind the cows in the milking room. Now she had us work while the cows where in there being milked.
So thing were very close quarters. This room was maybe a hundred feet long, and maybe twenty feet wide. Like little surgeons, we slipped on our plastic gloves and began to work. She thought we were pansies for wearing gloves. HA!

With brushes in hand we cleaned the wall. It took around two to three hours. This was really hard. Because, once and a while there would be a big glob of dried manure stuck to the wall. They would take a long time to get off. And in the process Laurel claimed that I sprayed her with my brush. Which i did...but wouldn't admit to it. :) Then to make things worse, the cows would occasionally...poop right next to you. You could sense it first. Then came the noise, (Plop, plop, ploooooooooop). We'd stick our selves against the wall trying to avoid being covered in steaming manure.

While a few of us got that fun job, one lucky person got to man the the shovel.
There was another trough besides the one the cows ate out of. One behind them. So they could take a dump right into it.
You guessed it. That lucky person had to use that shovel and load a wheelbarrow full of manure.
Then take it out into the field and dump in on the world biggest pile of poo.

This continued for Months. Once in a while we got a fun job. Like getting to lead a baby calf around on a rope. We though that was the best...(anything is the best compared to scrubbing walls free of manure.) Although, one time we did get to name a new baby bull.
We called him....RAMBO!!! And every week we went out there; we played with our little Rambo....till he got sent to the slaughter house. :(
Then we got to take home brand new baby ducks. I still remember sitting in the back of the van holding my new baby duck in my "Gloved" hands. He pooped in them on the way home. My older sisters had to share one....but i got my own. They called theirs, 'Mango". I called mine, "Precious".
I don't know why i called it that...i couldn't say my R's. So when i called my pet duck I'd say, "Pweciouse!".

After we had been going to this farm for about a year of so, Willma got another worker...that she paid! ;( This was a girl about 16, her name was Blossom.
Every time we came out to the farm, and started to work, Blossom would come in and lean against a wall. She'd say stuff like, "Good work...keep it up."
We think she never worked. She never worked when we were there at any rate!
Another one of the few perks was this pleasant little stream near one of the pastures.
Laurel and I would beg my mom to let us go down there while she, Warren, Claire, and Melina did the work. Only once in a red moon would mom let us go. But when she did....oh it was so much fun. We'd wade through the water in our rubber boots. Climb nearby trees. A bonus about the creek is the smell. It didn't smell like manure. It smelled like fresh air. Good fresh air.

Those are a just a few of the stories from my farm experiences.

High And Dry...

How about this crazy, crazy weather?
Flooding every where...but ya'll probably knew that already. :P

Any ways, Yesterday Shawn O'Neil and I went flood searching.
We hopped in his car and took off. We wanted to see the damage.

First we wanted to go out to Montesano, or as far as we could go. We got to the peek of the valley, where the farm pastures are and the bridge. We had to stop at the top and huff it down to the bridge...Dumb Barricades. I can't believe they closed the road. There was a small amount of water on the road... but nothing a mildly skilled driver could maneuver through.

On the way back up we spotted a disturbing sight.
What i think was a drowned deer.

Then we checked out some of the back roads by Clemons road.

There was a sad little house sitting in the middle of a lake.

We then ventured out to the beach.
IT WAS WINDY!!
Like wind, windy....and so very very cold. :(

Just standing tall in the middle of it all. Its kinda hard to see what it says.

I just thought this was a nice picture.

After all this we were starved...so we hit this little burger place. Good stuff.

We thought about ice cream...but then we saw one of the flavors.

All together we didn't see much flooding, but it was fun!

Georgia and ME!!!

Okay, now everybody loves to belt out a song here and there. Some don't mind singing when other people are around...as long as they aren't focused on them alone. I am one of those people.
Others can only sing when they are "Completely alone".

Well, i was blogging on my moms laptop in the dinning room this fine evening, and I decided to sing a little song. After not much thought, i chose "Georgia on my mind".
As the first sweet notes struck the air, "GEORGIA....GEORGIA..."
my mom rushed into the room calling, "Whats the matter....who's moaning?"

Lesson Learned: As of now, I will no longer sing at the table.

Toothpaste...

Every time i go to brush my teeth i think of this story.

Its was about 9 months ago.
Warren and i were getting ready to go to bed.
We raced into the bathroom, seeing who could be done brushing their teeth first.
Well, Warren got to the tooth paste first.
He quickly squirted some on his toothbrush and threw the toothpaste behind him. (Laughing all the way)
That was it...i was ticked at his annoying ways, and i wasn't about to lose to my little brother.
I grabbed up the toothpaste and squirted a glob into his ear. He quickly stopped laughing and began screaming...i think he was afraid it would slip further down, deafening him for life.
With that i finished brushing and charged away into my room.

Since then i can't help chuckling to myself when i brush my teeth. :P

It Came Back!

It was so very excellent today. Dana came over for the afternoon and it started to snow!
Now, this was out of the blue, "literally".
No hints it just started. Just after we thought it was all gone.
So like most people we ran out there and began to write stuff in the snow.

Well, Warren and i decided it would be fun to go take a picture out in the snow with no shirts on. Now i know a lot of you would like to see this
picture...but that ain't happening.

I got a little bored one afternoon and wanted something new to do.
So i began to cut stuff with scissors. Soon a pair of eyes emerged, then a nose, then the rest of the face came into being. Then I stuck them to the refrigerator with tape. I came back a few minutes later to find them missing. After i gave every one a third degree questioning...Laurel Pleaded guilty. She said, "It clutters up the refrigerator". Well, i made two whole new ones just for ya'll to see.

Snow Challengers...or Snow Fools?

Warren and i were bored with sitting inside, so we decide to go out in the snow.
Now, most people would run out side and start throwing snowballs, making snowmen, eating snow and rubbing their friend's faces in the snow. But Warren and I are no normal people.
We thought it would be fun to see how long we could last just sitting in the snow with a blanket.

So with that, we geared up.

After about fifteen minutes we got a little bored and went inside.

Ice Skating Flop...

Well, the whole ice skating rink would have worked....if it wasn't for this darn snow!!
I spent the last twelve hours pouring water on the rink every hour or so, then I had the heavens open up and start snowing!!!! Why? Why?

But luckily, i had a backup plan.....

Then Jet wanted to try out his ice *skils* ....he found out that he didn't really have any.

Well, this lack of snow is really killing me. I spend all day looking out the window watching for snow.
By the end of the day all i have to show for my work is...well nothing. No snow.

But I came up with a great idea! Ice Skating!! Now most people would say, "There is no Ice skating rink in Aberdeen". not until now...

Lame? Not a chance!!!

Well...Jet has been watching Veggietales lately, and he picked up a new favorite song. So him and Warren sang to the camera.
